Although LIS is leading the charge in interdisciplinary education — it isn't a new idea. Through our groundbreaking Fellowship programme, we're bringing together trailblazers and innovators from diverse fields who are living proof that interdisciplinary approaches pave the path to future success.
Welcome to the LIS Fellowship Programme, where the art of knowledge exchange meets the power of networks. Our mission? To enhance the expertise available to our students while deepening our appreciation for interdisciplinary collaboration in diverse contexts.
At the heart of our commitment lies the opportunity for Fellows to immerse themselves in our innovative approaches to learning, teaching, and research, as well as joining a growing network of leading interdisciplinary practitioners across a variety of sectors.
We invite our fellows onto our LIS campus to deliver at least one lecture a year to an audience of LIS student, staff and/or faculty. This will be an opportunity for all to learn new ways of thinking and share ideas.
We're thrilled to welcome our fellows, each bringing a unique wealth of expertise to our table, enriching our Research and Development Programme and driving interdisciplinary innovation forward.
Our fellows, students, faculty, and staff alike will have the opportunity to make connections with top interdisciplinary practitioners spanning various sectors, enriching their professional networks and fostering collaboration.
Below are some examples of the lectures our fellows have held at LIS, speaking to staff, students, and visitors about their areas of expertise, and the importance of having an interdisciplinary perspective on complex problems.

Driven by childlike curiosity, Jasmine explored how emotions were inspired by nature, AI, and quantum physics. Her lecture examined brain hemispheres, TikTok creators' ambition, and everyday awe. Jasmine highlighted sharing resonant harmonics, arguing art fosters harmony in an increasingly polarised world.
What will it mean to be human in the future?
For the past fifteen years, Steve has explored how societal, technological, and intellectual changes transform human self-understanding, a concept he terms 'Humanity 2.0'. This talk delved into the evolving value of being 'human', using survey results from students to spark a broader discussion on the topic.
