The archive will not be silent’ brings together the voices and creativity of community archivists at the Museum of Transology (MoT) - the UK’s most significant collection of objects representing trans, non-binary and intersex people’s lives.
Through a series of creative tasks, members of the community offer insight into what this archive means to them and the role it plays in their lives.
Together, we reflect on experiences of home, community, belonging and identity.Transcribed on the walls and collated in this ‘co-construction site’, the archive emerges as something flexible, growing, evolving, self-defining, living and LOUD.
We invite you to experience this through the words, pictures and objects of the community archivists at MoT. As we bring together multiplicities, come to this space with feeling, compassion and curiosity.
